Vision Statement

To support optimal oral development through a network of airway-conscious professionals in Philadelphia so that all families can have affordable access to orofacial myofunctional therapy to reduce the prevalence of chronic breathing, swallowing, and speech problems.

Mission Statement

Practical Speech LLC provides high-quality speech and orofacial myofunctional therapies to children in Philadelphia using services tailored specifically for each individual child and their family.

Regina is a mom and knows the struggle of trying to balance it all. She created Practical Speech LLC to support busy families and children who would like an alternative to school-based therapy. She has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist since 2013 when she received her MA degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh. She is experienced in Early Intervention therapy and has worked in Pre-k through 12th grades in both Chicago and Philadelphia public schools. Regina believes in using evidence-based practices to maximize each child's communication potential. She is an active member of several speech therapy study groups and regularly attends continuing education courses. She is the one of the few members of the International Association of Orofacial Myology in Philadelphia.

At Practical Speech, we believe in customizing therapy to our patient's  specific needs. That is why we offer multiple location options and even come to your home. We get a lot of questions about what the course of therapy looks like - and the truth is, it's different for every patient! Some of the components will be the same for every patient, but after the initial evaluation and first follow-up appointments, we closely monitor progress. Although we are confident in our approach taking less time than traditional therapy, some of our patients benefit from a therapy break, especially when undergoing orthodontic work or other medical treatments. We are happy to support you and your family's needs whatever season you are in!
